This collection consists of the Washington State Federation of Music Clubs (WSFMC) records and scrapbooks. It appears the collection consists of registers from those past presidents that lived in Olympia, Wash. and participated in the Capital Music Club in Olympia, Wash. There are approximately 9 WSFMC scrapbooks that cover from the 1930's to the 1950's. It is not continual coverage of the time span but it is representative. The collection includes: achievement record book; newspaper clippings; Scrapbook for National Music Week in Olympia, WA in 1977; WSFMC reports covering 1938-1940, 1955-1970; WSFMC minutes covering 1932-1940, 1944; Washington Flashes, official bulletin of the Federation, covering 1933, 1936-37, 1952-1960, 1965-1989; Convention Programs from 1947-1980, with a few years missing.

Maud P. Mitchell was born about 1883 in Oregon. She married Chas. R. Mitchell and by 1920 they were living in Chehalis, WA. Charles was an assistant cashier at the bank. Charles had become a banker by 1930. Between 1957 & 1958 Charles passed away. And Maud passed away on 29 May 1960 in Chehalis, WA.
